ABI Local Government Chapter of the PDP holds post-election enlarged stakeholders meeting to X-ray the party performance in the last election and to strategies a way forward and also received defectors from APC
The meeting was also organised to kick-start a rebuilding process, checkmate internal democracy, promote inclusiveness and build a united force. The meeting was fully attended by key stakeholders, Chapter/State Exco, candidates of the last elections, Wards Excos, Ward leaders across the ten council ward, polling unit agents and heads of canvases, leaders of unit and party’s faithful.
The meeting held in Abi PDP Chapter Headquarters on Saturday to look at the welfare of the party, build more grass roots relationship with the people and strategize for the future of the party in Abi.
The party’s chapter Chairman, Mr Victor Bassey, said the meeting would provide the opportunity to review the 2023 general elections and to share ideas on how to strengthen the party.
According to the chapter Chairman, Anybody leaving PDP to another party amidst the dwindling economy, increase in commodity, insecurity, high price of fuel and other commodity, daily increase in price, hardship and kidnapping is part of the problems in the Country.
The workaholic Chapter Chairman advised party members cum Stakeholders to be steadfast, committed focus & united, returning back to Ward and put the party together to avoid misinformation by distractors. Knowing that PDP is bouncing back to continue the building of the nation & take back power from this confused and unreliable party that has cost this untold hardship to Nigerian.
The stakeholders unanimously appreciated the chairman’s efforts, resilience and passion in running the party’s affairs with utmost transparency and dedication
Highpoint of the meeting was the reception of decampees from the APC to PDP, reconciliation of members on post-election issues and more.
Mr Eni Ekum aka Tunghene, speaking on behalf of the defectors assured the PDP of unalloyed loyalty and support, calling on Nigerians to reject APC in totality based on their wrong ideology, corruption promotion, lack of leadership potential, low mental planning and wrong decision making. He called on those still supporting APC as enemies of Nigerians.
The auspicious event held on Saturday 9TH MARCH 2024 at PDP Secretariat, itigidi, Abi LGA.
