The State chairman of NYCN CRS, Nurse Olayi Emmanuel commends the executive Governor of cross river state, His Excellency Prince Otu for the remedial work ongoing on the deplorable federal roads in some parts of the state while also advocating for more given that commuters are crying everyday
The chairman made this known in a press conference at the NUJ Secretariat in the state capital on Saturday 26th October 2024
According to him, the Governor’s efforts to alleviate the hardship experienced by commuters along the collapsed Calabar-Itu-Ikot Ekpene federal highway and OBUDU- OGOJA roads are indeed praiseworthy
Suffice to say that the state government’s commitment to infrastructure development is also evident in its budget for 2024, with a focus on consolidating gains made in previous years. And It’s heartening to see the state government taking proactive steps to address the infrastructure challenges faced by commuters he stated

Olayi Emmanuel’s commendation of Governor Otu for the ongoing remedial work on deplorable federal roads in Cross River State is a step in the right direction.
