The visit was to congratulate the commissioner on her well deserved appointment by the executive governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu. During the visit they presented an award to the Honorable Commissioner and also thanked His Excellency for believing in their daughter enough to elevate her to this esteemed office.

They observed that by this appointment, our governor has demonstrated his faith in the leadership capacity of youths of Cross River State as well as in their steadfastness to serve the state in high offices. The village head noted, however, that the Honourable Commissioner would not have been elevated to her office as Commissioner if she had not already proven her mettle in other high positions of governance.

He congratulated the Honourable Commissioner for her excellent service as the former APC Southern Senatorial District Women’s Leader, the Caretaker/Chairman for Biase LGA, 2019, and her earlier service as SA for Gender and Development in the previous administration. The delegates assured the Commissioner of their continuous support and promised that their lines would always be open for assistance and at the service of the Honourable Commissioner if need be.

They reminded her that her name, “Isamoh,” is derived from the name of her vIllage and that she should uphold the historical excellence of her name and of the people.
In her response, the Commissioner expressed her appreciation to the “Village Head” and his team for the visit and for finding her worthy for an award given to her by the delegation. She thanked the executive Governor of Cross River State and his dear wife for the privilege given to her to serve in his Executive Council. She added that with her appointment, something good has come out of Bene Obo Isamoh community.

The Honourable Commissioner assured them that she would continue to remain a worthy ambassador of her people as well as of young women in the State and would not let them down.
