She was also honoured and recognisedย  as the Face of the National Detective Magazine.

Presenting the awards on behalf of the Movement for the Consolidation of Democracy, the founder and leader of the delegation Dr Charles Edet, Esq., commended Dr Helen Egodo for her determined efforts towards alleviating poverty and promoting human welfare in Cross River State. He described the Honourable Commissioner as the “Face of Humanitarian Services” who is concerned with improving people’s life,ย  reducing suffering, and promoting social reforms. According to him, “these awards are in recognition of your outstanding achievements not only for the less privileged but also for the many relief packages in support of the displaced people and inmates across the state.”

In a grand recognition by the magazine, Dr Edet said, “Your recognition as the Face of the National Detective Magazine remains our own contribution to your office for attracting a wider coverage in our magazine and a little way of appreciating your hardwork and good deeds”.

The Honourable Commissioner, in her appreciation remarks, expressed immense gratitude to MOCODE, CCRSP, NOCSGIG, and the publishers of the National Detective Magazine for recognising her little effort towards ameliorating the living standards of the people through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation. She declared that these awards and recognition would not have been possible without the hardworking and diligent staff of her ministry and hence dedication the award to all members of staff of her ministry.

Dr Helen Egodo, while thanking her staff for their love and willingness to perform their duties at any given time asserted that, “these awards would go along way to motivating me to do much more in promoting human welfare in our dear state”.
