SEN. BEN AYADE GIFTS MOTORCYCLES TO APC WARD CHAIRMEN IN CROSS RIVER NORTH
Barely 24 hours after the inauguration of the chapter and ward executives, the former Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade, CON, has gifted motorcycles to all the 54 APC ward chairmen in the Northern Senatorial District.
The motorcycles are meant to support the newly elected ward leaders in carrying out their responsibilities more effectively. According to the former Governor, the gesture is to help strengthen party activities at the grassroots by making it easier for the ward chairmen to move around their communities, engage with party members, mobilise support, and coordinate activities within their wards.
The intervention reflects Prof. Ayade’s belief that leadership should be supported at every level. It also shows his understanding of the practical challenges political structures face in rural areas, especially when it comes to mobility and coordination. With this support, ward leaders are better positioned to keep the party active and visible across the grassroots.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, the APC Chapter Chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Comrade Joseph Odama, expressed appreciation to the former Governor for what he described as a thoughtful gesture. He noted that the support came shortly after the inauguration and clearly demonstrates the Former Governor’s continued interest in strengthening the party structure at the ward level. He also acknowledged the guidance and political direction the former Governor continues to offer the party.
Similarly, the APC Chapter Chairman of Obanliku Local Government Area, Comrade Thomas Ashibi, thanked the former Governor for providing the ward chairmen with the needed mobility to perform their duties effectively. He observed that barely a day after the inauguration, the ward leaders already have the tools to begin their work, and many of them have continued to offer prayers for God’s blessings and strength upon the former Governor.
