HON IJOM UKAM & HOUSE OF REPS

The race for the A/B Federal constituency House of Representatives membership is the most intensely competitive in the history of BIASE and the federal constituency as a whole.

Just like the caption, this publication is primarily about the activities of the CRS commissioner youth who is also a front runner for the aforementioned position

Without mincing words, I would say without prejudice that Hon Ijom Ukam has demonstrated greater commitment to the election elections & i am basing this assessment on what I have observed, although some people argue that elections are not won on social media.

This is 2026, not 1999 or 2003, when election outcomes were typically determined by stakeholders. I can tell you, without a doubt, that it’s challenging for an unpopular individual to win an election in this era no matter how good you are.

We are in an ERA where a more popular candidate is often viewed as a better choice, so keeping quiet in one corner as an aspirant is disservice and detrimental to your own ambition because in 2007 we wonโ€™t support people we donโ€™t know even if the person is anointed from PEREGRINO

As for Hon Ijom Ukam, I donโ€™t really rate his team that much because of their modus operandi but the noise they are making will have an impact if they make the noise in a better way and proper channel but its still better than doing nothing

Most importantly, this post should not be misconstrued as an endorsement or support for Hon Ijom Ukam, since he is not likely to get the APC ticket, but his efforts and seriousness are certainly deserving of recognition even though we are not on the same page

It is not acceptable to merely sit and wait for stakeholders or the central power to grant us political positions. If you are not making a concerted effort to serve us, you will be deemed a subpar leader.

Individuals who assume positions of power without effort never make effective leaders, as they are aware that they will retain their status regardless of the people’s support.

Senator JARIGBE commenced the endorsement process yesterday in Abuja, and I am aware that numerous others have also initiated their political activities by engaging in conversations with their constituents, however, in Biase, everyone seems to be waiting for an anointing

I am struggling to understand how you individuals find satisfaction in the type of politics played in Biase, which appears dull and outdated, aside from the maneuvering to assume leadership positions in other to oppress us

I reiterate that this is not about HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES elections alone but rather every election in Biase LGA, thus if you have an interest in contesting any election in Biase start engaging and consulting the people and not wait to be given ticket

We should adopt a more grounded approach and facilitate town hall meetings within local government areas, rather than holding them at upscale venues like GLOBAL DREAM HOTELS and other LOCATIONS that are owned by leaders in Calabar

Sadly, We do campaigns & elections in the local government but after winning elections we chose Calabar as the best location for TOWN HALL MEETINGS that are mainly for POLITICAL PARTY OFFICIALS & the big men will dress in starch clothes to come and collect transport money without contributing any meaningful thing towards the development of our communities
