Recently I saw a picture where the state house member, Hon Francis Ogban had a sit out with a cross section of Biase YOUTHS
I am seeing him do that for the first time since after SWEARING-IN. It’s always my opinion that we shouldn’t only see our leaders in occasions or during campaigns alone so we have time to interact and share ideas
Suffice to say that sitting with people doesn’t meB good GOVERNANCE but it’s important to be close to your people which is the only way to know what really affects them
I wasn’t there at the hangout but I know for sure that beyond drinking and eating issues that affects the people would be discussed
It’s a rare thing to see Biase leaders sitting out with their people except party events or Christmas and we need more that because it gives the people a sense of belonging likewise makes them feel important
The last time i sat closely with a leader was with Hon Dr Emil INYANG and that was in August, in fact that was the first time I was meeting him one on one since after the 2023 elections and subsequent re-run
The engagement that day was sweet and colorful given that I had opportunity to see my brothers and sisters again after a long while regardless of our differences in politics and social life
I would have attended that sitout if I was available not to drink or eat but to share my ideas and tell the Hon member what I feel it’s good for our people mostly the youth wing
My criticism is not our if hatred or to discredit any leader but for the good of our people. I recently wrote something about the AWARD given to the council chairman but when I was furnished with projects he has done I still published it myself for others to see
Also I say thank you Hon Francis Ogban for increasing the stipends of your Media aides. God bless you
Lastly, As a person I don’t have a single enemy but I don’t like someone that doesn’t like me
