Commissioner for Works Hon. Ankpo Pius Edet Joins Governor Otu Flag Off Boki East/West 17-Kilometre Road Project
The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Hon. Ankpo Pius Edet joined the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, in flagging off the construction of the Boki East/West 17-kilometre road, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to infrastructural development across the state.

The flag-off ceremony, held on Friday, was performed on behalf of the Governor by the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, and was attended by top government officials, community leaders, and other dignitaries.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ankpo Pius Edet expressed deep appreciation and heartfelt commendation to Governor Otu and the Deputy Governor for their unwavering dedication to improving road infrastructure in Boki East and West. He described the project as a critical intervention that will significantly enhance connectivity between communities, stimulate economic activities, and improve the overall quality of life for residents of the area.
The Commissioner further reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to deliver people-oriented infrastructure across Cross River State, noting that the project aligns with the government’s broader vision of inclusive development and sustainable growth.

The Boki East/West road construction is expected to ease transportation challenges, open up rural communities, and boost socio-economic development within the region.
